4 Track System
Emergency Track
People who need emergency housing and food, counseling, and referrals to local service agencies can stay at the Mission for up to 14 days. They may leave when their immediate needs have been met, or enter one of our Discipleship or Goals track programs to address the problems that brought them to the Mission in the first place.
Discipleship Track
For men and women who want to develop the skills necessary to break the cycle of homelessness and build a strong foundation for their faith, Faith Mission offers two Gospel-centered programs, Training Faithful Men and Training Faithful Women. Participants live at the Mission while completing these twelve to eighteen-month courses which rebuild lives through faith and education.
Classes include:
- Job Readiness: Computer skills, job skills training
- Life Skills: Personal finance, food preparation and nutrition, marriage counseling, time management, personal conduct
- Recovery Support: Addiction, reconciliation, abuse, wellness, anger management
While the majority of these skills and courses are taught at the Mission, individuals may be referred to outside agencies or organizations for help with specific needs such as housing, employment, continuing education or health issues.
Goals Track
By putting individuals in contact with other community agencies, Faith Mission helps them find the resources they need to get back on their feet. Participants may stay at the Mission up to twelve months as we help them get the services and support they need to break the cycle of homelessness.
Shepherding Track
Continuing shelter, meals and counseling are available for graduates of the Mission’s Training Faithful Men and Training Faithful Women programs whose special needs or circumstances require them to stay at the Mission beyond the 12-18 months of the Discipleship Track.
Changing and Building Lives Through Faith
God is the source and foundation of all this is good in life. The goal of each of our programs is to enable those who come to Faith Mission for help to repair broken relationships with God, family and society through the power of the Holy Spirit.
